AN ETYMOLOGICAL APPROACH, THE WORD SEITAI -eng-

SEI-TAI bonds two japanese concepts in a new word

meaning

SEI : to be in balance, in order

TAI  : the organism

We could translate : the body in order....

But it does not claim to take humans to a more balanced life...
it just expresses the fact that BALANCE is inherent to LIFE itself,
as an unavoidable condition for its existance in this universe...

because

OUR NATURE IS BALANCE

(if we were not already in balance..... we would not be at all).

By becoming aware of our spontaneous breathing and movement,
by practising CATSGEN and YUKI,
we enhance our spontaneous hability to be in balance
and to adapt, in accordance to our own nature,
to whatever life brings at every moment.

SEITAI  bridges between the voluntary and the unvoluntary within us, enables a dialogue ....

SEITAI  brings the 'spontaneous I' and the cultural or 'dressed-up I', together...

but it does NOT unite the BODY and the MIND...
because these two have never been two separated "things"....
(in spite of all those fantastic philosophies that defend the contrary,
from Plato to Descartes and others of the like).

BODY and MIND make always ONE single LIVING BEING,

the only thing is...
that this UNION is actualized in each one of us in a PERSONAL WAY,
which makes us all unique and different as INDIVIDUALS.
